Can't Unhide the folders which are hidden

I am not able to unhide the folders which already have hidden.Tried the option through the control panel/folder option/.

But it is not working.

Have you scanned for malware and viruses? If your system is clean you can try this.

1 Click Start>REGEDIT
2. Click the plus sign next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER
then SOFTWARE
then Microsoft
then Windows
then CurrentVersion
then Explorer
then Advanced

On the right side, double click the hidden value and give it a value of 1.
This should enable hidden files and folders.Make sure you back up the key first

Even though I can't understand why all of a sudden happened?

Again I tried through the folder options from control panel it didn't work.

Why like that?Pls clear this doubt
