Run Checkdisk with the repair option to correct file errors and try again. Go to Run and type:
CHKDSK /F and say yes to reboot and let it run.
You should be running defrag using Computer Management in Administrative Tools. It will analyze the disk first to tell you if you need to run checkdisk or defrag.
