Dell Factory Image

Where is the "Dell Factory Image" on the Optiplex 980 with Windows 7 32-bit?  When I run the Dell Backup and Recovery Manager I see that a dataset with that name has been created.  How do I find it?  The system reveals only the hard drive (C:) and the DVD optical drive (D:) but no other partitions.  No discs shipped with the system.  I tried to create a system backup with the Backup and Recoverey Manager, but that failed both times.

You cannot access the hidden partition with the factory image. You can see it in Computer Management, Disk Management. If you can't make a recovery disk, contact Dell Support and ask for a reinstallation disk. There have been some problems with making your own disk. Make sure you tried the directions HERE.

PS While you are in disk management, check out the partitioning of your disk. Most new computers have a tiny C partition and an empty D partition for data, programs and files. If you want to change that partitioning without losing your C partition,  directions HERE.
