desktop functions missing

After a virus I now have no tabs in the control panel for anything but the screen saver and monitor display how dow I regain those lst tabs?

Control Panel exrensions are effectively CPL files in the windows system32 folder. I'd guess that yours have been deleted or corrupted.

Look into System File Checker (sfc).

Or restore Windows to a previous state.

Or you can restore individual files.

Or re-install Windows, of course.

Download the registry file from the right column of #285 here. After it is downloaded, double-click it to make the registry change.
