Dimension 2350 - Blue Screen Error

I keep getting a blue screen with the following error:

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer.  If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Disable or uninstall any anti-virus, disk degragmentation or backup utilities.  Check your hard drive configuration, and check for any updated drivers.  Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.
Technical information:
*** STOP: 0x00000024 (0x00190203, 0x81B52008, 0xC0000102, 0x00000000).

I've tried restarting the computer with every option it gives but I still end up back at the blue screen.  I've also tried doing a BIOS udpate which would have changed the existing BIOS to the same one but there was a problem reading Drive A. I have no idea how I can "Disable or uninstall any anti-virus, disk degragmentation or backup utilities.  Check your hard drive configuration, and check for any updated drivers.  Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer." unless I can get to a screen that actually allows me to do something.

Would someone please help me?

I've tried this but it still takes me to the blue screen.  I've tried EVERY single option it gives me and ALWAYS end back up at the blue screen.  This problem arose after installing McAfee Security Center that is available to Comacast users. I just spoke to a live tech at mcafee.com they said it's an issue with the XP OS and they told me to contact Dell.  Any other ideas of what I can do?

I tried that.  It won't load, just sends me right back to the blue screen.  I tried the diagnostics CD to.  Same thing happens.

Can't get past the blue screen to access any of that.  Trying the BIOS udpate again now.  Dell live tech support still hasn't come online for me.  Going on one hour waiting for them.

Are you sure it is booting from the cd. You have to change Boot order to cd drive in BIOS. You should get a screen " Press any key to boot from CD"
