Hi Fellow Dellers

     After my O/S crashed and I could not perform a factory restore becasue I had lost the administrator password :-( I performed a re-install of the O/S WinXP MCE 2005 ! After the re-install one of the first things I tried to do was re-configure my ATI TV Wonder Elite PCI video card,I went thru the MCE to configure it as I did first time after I installed the hardware,never used the ATI supplied CD ! It worked just fine the first time I did the configuring on my originial install from Dell ,however this time after the re-install my system is not even reconizing the TV Tuner Card ? I recieve missing "Video Codec" message when I try to start the TV in Media Center ? Could it be I must first install the other software that came with my PC pre-installed I have te CD's Dell sent me ,I have installed the Drivers and Utilities for the hardware including the drivers for the ATI TV Wonder Elite listed on the Dell Resource CD ,I also have Sonic Player CD and MY DVD Combo ,perhaps these will install the needed Video Codec ? I find it odd that the MCE 2005 would not have all the video codec's needed already in system .Iam going to perform another re-install of O/S ,becasue it seems many Window conponents ,drivers and files are missing , seems like a bad install all the way around .Dell has sent be a step by step re-install guide and I can see by looking at it that I did not perform many needed steps upon re-install . Once Iam complete with my second attempt at re-install and hopefully I get a full install of O/S ,how can I delete the Dell factory restore partition since I do not have the administrator password and can never use that partition to restore my PC ? Sorry for so many ?'s and I want to thank all that reply with suggestions and information !
