I set a password for my windows vista, but I forget it, I can not go to my computer, what can I do now, I am very worry about it, please help me!!!!!!!!!!! thank you very much
i try to press F8 , restore image of windows vista for my computer dimension 9200 But it pop up the username: Administrator , and password prompt and I don't have it that's why i can not restore the image
What kakarottokang is talking about is a Windows Password, not the BIOS that is explained on the documment you posted. Unafortunately Windows Vista fixed a XP problem, when we can recover a lost pasword from Safe Mode. Now this is not an option. The only thing I can think right now, is to make a PCRestore (but from the Vista DVD because if we try to use the F8 option, it will ask you for a user and password), or for a clean install.
As an alternatevly option, if you have any other user on the computer (as administrator) you can delete the account and then create a new one...
Note that with this options you wont be able to retreive the information, so you'll lose your documents... At least you take your hard drive, install it in another computer (with Vista) and look for your information.

Might I suggest you simply try some passwords you use often? Make sure to pay attention to things like caps lock and number lock. If you cannot remember it, the only method to use is posted directly above. I would also advise enabling the hidden administrator account (literally, username "Administrator" ) and setting the password as something you will never forget. That way, you can always get on the system to copy personal files if something messes up your normal user account.
the problem here is a software, windows vista login: Aministrator password
even thought if I want to login windows vista as Administrator to fix a problem of windows and I can not go no where because w/o password.
However, I think the way DELL setup image restore via Windows Vista is hidden control the password of Aministrator and end user unable to HAVE it :((((
like me i forgot my login password and suddenly i discover that hidden secret of Image restore of Windows Vista's administrator password.
I talk with DELL technical support more than 3 hours and end up they will send a tech support to come to my house to replace an hard disk, However, I wonder how they solve the problem once they come with new image's hard disk include hidden magic's Administrator passsword
I guess all of DELL's users of windows vista does not know about this yet.
but whoever use vista and give it a try and login as administrator's login and see for yourself. Do you have a password or DELL's a magic password's hidden. ?
Hope the tech. has this solution for future's image restore via windows vista
