IE 7 STRANGE behavior with tabbed browsing.

I have been having a problem with GROUPED, tabbed browsing lately.  Any extra GROUPS of tabbes that I have opened if I left my computer for a while (idle) and then return and attempt to use any of the extra GROUPS of tabs nothing will work, nothing will load, nothing will do jack!  I have to close everything out and relaunch IE.  It is extremely annoying and I want to know is there a fix for this.  Please don't see use another browser as I'm not interested in that.

Thanks.

This site is SO SLOW to lead lately...

I run TWO groups of tabs with 5 tabs per group.

    My computer is brand new...

    Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2

    2GB Ram

    120GB 7200 HD

    Nvidia 8600 M GT

vista premium...not sure what else you need to know as all the other hardware is basic stuff that everyone has.

Does FF have this problem if I were to switch to that?

Assuming you are running Vista, keep in mind that Vista and IE7 (with lots of Tabs open) require large amonut(s) of RAM to run smooth.

Unless you are running Vista Basic, at the least 2Gig RAM is required.

Now, also how many Tabs are you running at once?  If you attepmpt to open too many tabs IE7 will give you a warning.....

In my case, Running Vista UE-64 and 4Gig RAM, If I run IE7 with about a dozen Tabs, and Outlook and Word and Excel (plus I run Folding@Home 24/7, very CPU intensive) I am ok to a point, but once I try to do more, then I can see a slowdown in apps launching and changing.

    * So, maybe a list of your PC and its hardware is appropriate to list along with exactly what software you try to run.

    Peace

Maybe someone else can tell you about Firefox, as I only use IE7... it won't hurt to try.

Of course you should run a check, and maybe do a Disk Cleanup and Defragment too.

EDIT/Added: BTW.... DCF is Slow for me too today :(

    Peace
