Installing vista

Say I want to install Vista in October when I know drivers and patches have matured. Also so other software vendors can get Vista patches or upgrades out. When I get the Vista pack thing from Dell, I don't have to install Vista right away, do I?

    You can install it whenever you want. There is no time limit. Like you I'm waiting everything settle into place.

    Feel free to install it when you like, most drivers are available, and now is a great time to install.  However if you wait till October, that's ok.... and by then Vista SP1 will have been released, so there's another plus :)

    I rushed out to buy Vista, didn't open it, then returned it to BestBuy a week later.  Force yourself to wait, probably will be alot less problems, seems other manufacturer drivers are lagging behind the new OS.
