Misplaced Resource CD

I recently purchased an Alienware M14x laptop and I have seem to misplaced my Resource CD that came with the computer. I still have like 330 days left on my warranty, at least, that's what the support site said. I was wondering how I would go about getting another CD. Also, when I bought this laptop it was supposed to come with Microsoft Office Student Edition on it. However, it's not pre-installed on here and I really need it for my classes. Was it on the Resource CD? I didn't see it on there when I used it previously.

Thanks,

The Resource CD has the drivers. It won't have software program like Office, et.

You'll need to use your Service Tag # to see what Dell shows as being included on the laptop. If indeed Office is missing, then you need to contact them.

Dell will not send you out a resource cd (Drivers), but will send you out a OS DVD free if your in warranty. You should have been given a Product Key for your Office, along with a link to download it. If you have the key, then go onto the Microsoft web site, and download it, it will be the same version, and your key will work.

If you have the product key for office, read the guide I wrote about a clean install of Windows 7. It should tell you all you need to know.

I ended up calling Alienware and after some "negotiating" they agreed to send me a CD and Key since they never sent it to me in the first place. Also, since I hadn't noticed until over a month later that I didn't have it (I didn't need it until college started this past week) I had to do a little more persuasion than if I had noticed within the first 21 days.
