I have Windows XP and the Norton SystemWorks that I use the "One Button Checkup." Everything checks out fine except for "Program Integrity Scan." It says there is 1 problem, missing program file. When I click on for more detail, this is what it says I am missing;
"C:\Program Files\common
Files\InstallShield\Professional\Run Tim\0701\Intell32\DotNetinstaller.exe"
Cannot Access a Necessary file,
"mscoree.dll."
What does this mean and do I need it?
Thanks,
Sandy
Open Norton WinDoctor. If the Norton WinDoctor Wizard does not start automatically, then in the main Norton WinDoctor window, click Scan. In the Norton WinDoctor Wizard window, select "Perform all Norton WinDoctor tests (recommended)." Click Next. When WinDoctor has finished checking your system, click Next to examine the results. Click Finish. In the main Norton WinDoctor window, click the Problems button. Under Problems Found, click the problem for the missing file, mscoree.dll. Right-click the problem for the missing file, then click Problem Details. Under Details, right-click the entry you want ignored, then click "Ignore Selected Problem." Click Repair All > Yes to continue. Exit Norton WinDoctor.
Thanks, I emailed Symantecs and this is their reply;
