Msconfig Startup Addition

This is added information to my previous post Subj: msconfig startup.  I did not mention that the computer is a Dell Inspiron 5000 running Windows 98SE.  To recap---I deleted some items from the Msconfig Startup utility.  Now I find that I need those files, but cannot put a "check" by them in the msconfig startup box, because they aren't there.  How can I get them back into the startup utility box?  I can find them on the computer, and use "Code Stuff Starter" to add, but I don't know whether to put "user run" or "machine run" after the files.  Can someone tell me another way to get them back without using "Code Stuff Starter"?  Thanks in advance, and Happy New Year to all!

    Pithombre,

I don't know if it will be helpful or not, but the location of startup items in the registry is listed in here. Of course, you can also uninstall the program whose entry you deleted and reinstall it or, in some cases, go into the program itself to Options, Settings, or Preferences and check an entry to load the program when Windows starts.
