I purchased a Dell Inspiron 600m in August for school. Recently I had some troubles with a virus and had to do a complete system reset to the point where it was the same as the day I bought it. Since having done that, my Norton AntiVirus is not working. I have a subscribtion that last about another 8 months. The Message that I get when I open the Norton program is "The Norton AntiVirus component is not installed or failed to load. Please uninstall and reinstall Norton AntiVirus." (this is error message 3031,10 or 3031,6) I cannot run a virus scan or anything right now and I was wondering if somebody knew where the intaller was on the computer so that I could uninstall it and try reinstalling it. Thanks
Have you tried going to the control panel; add or remove programs; then look down the listing for Norton. When you find it, click on the right hand side of the listing to delete Norton. Reboot your PC then reload Norton. See if that works.
