nvrd32.sys can not be found!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just want to start by saying that I hate DELL customer service with all my heart. It took me three weeks and about 10 "let me transfer you to somebody that can help you" 's just to order a new desktop. This because only the last person I talked to was the only guy in the whole company that could tell me that the reason my order was canceled was due to id verification. Then about a week to verify my identity.

Now, about two months later (including about two weeks for delivery), I finally get it and I try to reinstall windows just so I can partition the disk. All of a sudden, the screen shows "nvrd32.sys cannot be found".   I made the mistake of trying DELL tech support for two days.  Everybody keeps asking me for information not relevant or telling they dont deal with disk partitioning. Please if anyone can help me.  Ijust want to reinstall Windows XP and when I try at certain point the screen shows "nvrd32.sys" cannot be found.  Thank you

Doing a google search for that file, it appears to be an NVIDIA RAID driver.  If you have the hard drive(s) setup as a RAID device in the BIOS that could be the problem.

The Dell reinstallation instructions are HERE  that MAY show you how to reinstall with a Raid 0 installation.

With Vista, there is a built program for partitioning and it doesn't require reinstalling to get the partitions.
