I'm having problems with images. It's online, but I have a windows vista system. So that's why I posted here. Any online images - from a website or email attachment - I view load in very bad quality, like they where saved as a .gif or .jpg file. If I right-click the image and select 'Show all original images' they load again to the normal, better, quality. My question is, how do I get things back to normal so that the images automatically load normally?
ty_ger; I doubt what you say is correct, unless as I take your meaning incorrectly, for I have uploaded .bmp images onto the internet before and used them on websites and such without flaw.

Certainly .BMP images CAN be displayed in Internet Explorer, but not all non-windows/older browsers will support their use. Secondly, Bitmap images have a much larger file size than JPEG and GIF files, therefore are seldom used in web design.
For the above two reasons, you won't find .BMP images on websites... or should I say.... rarely/traditionally ... ?
