Outlook Express 6

Regarding Outlook Exoress 6, as used in XP Home SP2.

Is there a way to block or prevent incoming email from being delivered to a PC according to size of the email?

Nothing that I know of.  One option is to use "Mailwasher" program to screen all e-mail.  Mailwasher accesses your e-mail account at your ISP and lists what e-mails that are waiting for you (you don't have your e-mail program running) and you can "filter" what you want or don't want with Mailwasher and then "process" only the e-mails you want.  That also eliminates the SPAM getting to your PC as it's deleted at the ISP's server.

I've used Mailwasher for over a year.  It's a hassle getting used to since you have an additonal step but it's well worth it.

Thanks for the reply.  As I looked around this PC I didn't think so either. Blocking mail in Outlook Express is fine for small files received but for larger files received it can be a problem with dial-up service, as the mail is still delivered to Outlook Express and the Deleted Files Folder which still ties up this PC.

My ISP does allow me to block mail at their end and it does a good job, as the blocked mail is not delivered to this PC.

The problem is a person insists on sending me large files of as much as 4 mb in size at times.

I will look at mailwasher. Thanks............
