outlook express

Windows sent and installed upgrades. After they were installed and I restarted my pc, I can no longer open outlook express to read my mail. Any ideas what has happened and how I can fix it?

Got to control panel and the  click on "add remove porgrams" and then put a check in rom of "show updates " and then uninstall the update for that particular day and then reboot the system , I hope that should fix it , If it fixes please not down the name of the updates and reply with the names of knowledge base articles .
     All the best  :smileyhappy:

After I did what you said, Outlook Express tried to start, then I got a message saying "Outlook Express could not be started because MSOE.DLL could not be initialized. Outlook Express may not be installed correctly." I let microsoft install the updates I deleted, but I still get the same message. Does this mean I have to reinstall Outlook Express? If so, how do I do that.

The porblem  that you are talking about is a problem related to the folder system in OE , if you are not that attached to OE you can try adding mozilla thunderbird toy your system its similar to OE and word good . you can get it from mozilla.com  its thuunderbird . try  using that and later you can back the mails from outlook to thunderbird.

Did you try System Restore to before the updates?
If you can get OE to work, re-download all updates EXCEPT the OE one (KB941202) and see if that helps.
