As subject field states...

I've gone through numerous updates, over time, of IDT HD Audio app and IDT Audio chipset drivers, via Dell Client System Update...to no difference with this issue.

I right click the client tasktray icon, and click 'Open audio control panel'..... wait.... wait... finally renders... (HD is not flashing intensely like it's doing anything... Process Hacker shows CPU I/O completely idle, nothing consuming it... a ton of memory free)... I click the 'Recording' tab.. That takes two seconds to flip to it.. So does the 'Preferences' tab...

It's just the Playback...

I disable 'SRS' via HKLM\Software\IDT\Apo\LFX\Speaker1\plugins\SRS, 'load' DWORD from '1' to '0'. . And then it's nice and quick.

But... I want SRS... without SRS, audio amplitude/gain drops like 80%.. This is native DSP functionality, pre-baked by IDT, for this chipset (E6400, Chipset 92HD75B3), to be on.  And tons of people on the net, in blogs and forum are complaining about IDT, and their chipsets in general...

With no real resolution, bar to turn things off.. Disgusting really...

Anyone got any advice ? (Mind you this E6400 revision is old... so, i'm probably a bit late in complaining about this now... but with every update from Dell, I hope that it gets fixed... Maybe we should be speaking to IDT directly, rather than Dell ?)
