SlowShutdown

I recently downloaded (by prompt) Sonic Record Now--after putting it off for ages.  It seems after downloading and installing it my shutdown is very slow.  Any ideas as to why that might cause this problem.  I don't know of any other thing that I've changed.

It just never took so long before.  This just started happening.  Thanks anyway.

Sometimes Windows can take up to 10 minutes to shut down. There is not much you can do about it.

Not sure if there's anything here that pertains to your specific shutdown issue, but you might find some useful tips here....

Thanks.  I've tried the system restore to no avail.  I don't feel confident enough to do the registry thing.  This has just started recently after the update to sonic record now.  I'll check through more of the site.  Thanks again.

on shut down, every so often I get the end task box relating to "sgtray", when I checked on google the exact message I get relates to sonic record now. I just click on end task and so far it goes away and computer shuts down. I did read somewhere that with this message sonic record now should be reinstalled, but I tend to prefer to bury my head in the sand and ignore bad news. And the computer does shut down afterwards, so I've left things as they are.

jec,    Thanks,  I guess that is what I'll have to do,  just deal with it,  I hate when things don't run right.  I've thought of uninstalling and reinstalling but I'm a little afraid of messing up and then sonic won't work at all---guess just wait on shutdown!!! thanks.  Don't you wonder how these updates can mess things up??
