I'm not sure why you want to right-click...that brings up the windows menu, not the application menu.  But you might try this:

1. Right click on an empty area of your desktop background > choose Properties

2. Switch to Appearance tab and click on the Effects... button

3. Turn off the first option for fade effects

Does that help?  Second thing to do would be to upgrade your video card drivers for card to the latest available from http://www.nvidia.com/

I have the same card as you and don't have problems.

I see...then you could try to turn off the fade effects like I suggested and see if it makes a difference.

I have no problems with the video card. When I click Start then All Programs and the list of programs pop up I'm unable to right click to send a particular program to the decktop as a shortcut or anywhere else.

No that didn't help. I think I messed it up with a registry cleaner. Other than that small problem, my system is running great. Knock on wood
