Virtual Menmory Too Low / Dell Updates

hello,

fist, i appreciate any help with my situation.  i have a dell desktop pc that is about 10 months old.  i have not been keeping up with the updates that occasionally pop up for a while now, and i recently got a message that said my virtual memory is too low.  plus my computer has been running slower here lately.  i've already removed unused programs and files.  i have adaware 6.0 and it doesn't pick up any viruses or anything.

am i having these problems because i haven't been keeping up with the updates?

and where can i go to download all the updates i have missed?

thanks for any help!

    earthblues,

For starters, you should update the version of Ad-aware on your computer. Version 6 has been superseded (several weeks ago) by the SE version, which you can get here. Also, for a more complete spyware scan you should also be using Spybot, which you can get here as it finds things that Ad-aware misses (and conversely). Make sure you check online for updates to the databases of both programs before you run them.

You can install any critical updates that you are missing by opening Internet Explorer and going to Tools|Windows Update.
