Vista Upgrade

Waited since January 2007, finally I received my Vista Upgrade Pack today.
I am so eager to try it out but once I pop the DVDs into my Inspiron 1501, it just keep reading and spinning without detecting any data on the medias.
 
I tested both the Upgrade Assistant DVD and Vista Upgrade DVD on a very old Twinhead laptop and surprisingly both works like a charm.
I then check on the DVD drive's properties and found out that it was created under UDF format.
Tried both DVDs on various DVD drives on desktop without any luck too.
 
Can someone provide me help on how to get those DVDs work on my laptop?
I have the default Roxio Creator LE from Dell and it should have the capability of reading UDF.
If it dont, kindly provide me the link to download UDF reader.
 
Now I know why there are so many people opt to go back to Windows XP...

    you have to boot to the cd, like put it in and turn your laptop off and on again.

    Lucky you, been waiting since December and I'm stuck on the virtual "in process" - I know of over 60 people who bought the same machine as me on the same day that got their update over a month ago - but as usual, Dell isn't interested in helping their customers. Instead I get the run around on the phone from some guy I can barely understand. This is the third Dell I've purchased, and definitely the last.

    Boppo, what you have suggested dont work either.
    Anyway, I should have the option to Upgrade Vista within XP or Fresh Install Vista.
    Now the problem is about the DVDs. I can't even use the Upgrade Assistant DVD to prepare my machine.
    Did anyone else have similar problem with the medias they received from Dell?
     
    How can we get replacement medias from Dell? And I dont wanna wait for another 4 months to get the replacement as well...
     
    Any help?

    With the DVD in the drive and the tray pushed all the way in, when you go into "My Computer" and look at the icons, what NAME appears in the CD/DVD drive Letter?

    It's DellVistaUpgrade and VISTA_32_ULTIMATE.
    I solved that problem and did it in hard way. I copied all the contents and burn it again into DVDs.
    Already got Vista up and running on my Inspiron 1501.
     
    Another problem which I encountered is... There are 2 version of Roxio included in the DellVistaUpgrade DVD and both are zipped and password protected.
     
    So I do not have any CD or DVD creation program on my machine now. No one seems to have the password for those zip files...
