Where to post this?

I'm having a problem with my DELL Support Alerts feature on my 4600, but I don't see a specific board for Dell-specific software. Which is the best board to post my question? Thanks!

Software - Other Software would probably be the best place, but it's safe to say here that the best thing you could do with the Support Alerts software is uninstall it, as it's essentially useless.  Periodic visits to Windows Update (or better still, just enable Automatic Updates and leave it at that) and regular updating of your Anti Virus application will more than suffice.

Thanks! (I know this isn't the place to discuss this, but you seem to know something about the feature). Everytime is try to use it McAfee tells me a suspicious script is trying to launch--that it contains suspicious scripting activity. This is the only Dell feature I've found where this message pops up. When I run McAfee it doesn't find anything, but it keeps happening so I thought I'd check.

I try to avoid McAfee products whenever possible, but there should be an option that lets you authorize a particular application to run on an as-needed basis.  If not, then I guess that's yet another reason for me to continue avoiding their software.  On the other hand, if you take a look around this forum via a search for "Dell Alerts," you'll see that this application is probably better left uninstalled.  It's a great idea in theory, but it has certainly failed to live up to the hype that surrounds the application documentation, sparse as it is.
