I just bought a new DELL Windows 7 64 bit PC and now I suddenly have 3 apparently good choices for my backup/restore software.
Win7 offers "backup and restore", DELL offers "datasafe" and Norton 360 offers "backup". All appear to be useable. Each company is a major player and, I believe, is currently making a profit.
Which product or combination of products will offer the best reliability, availability and serviceability?
What special features or implementations might cause me to use more than one of these products?
If I run more that one of these products, will they conflict with each other? How? (I am from the old school where the "backup bit" was key to any backup, but there is only one for each file.)
If I decide to not use datasafe, how do I turn off those tenacious popups?
Any contributions to this knowledge area would be most welcome... Thank you BobW.
