Windows XP SP2 & D610 Bluescreen when disconnect Powersupply?

Hello Dell Forum Community,

i have a dell latitude D610 with Windows XP SP2 installed.
It runs properly until I unplug the Powersupply or I disconect it
from the Portreplicator.
In the moment I unplug Powersupply a Bluescreen appears with a memory dump.
STOP:0X00000BE (PCIDEX.SYS)
Does anyone have an Idea?

Greetings
Klaus

    Klaus,

PCIDEX.SYS is apparently a driver for a a PCI-X ATA controller. Is it supplied by Dell, Microsoft, or someone else? I haven't been able to locate much information about that file, but it may not be SP2 compatible.

(edit) Here are Microsoft's notes about STOP 0xBE errors.

You may be able to download a new copy of that file (saw it listed on a website or two for download).

If that doesn't solve your problem, it seems that driver/file is native to windows, so i'm not sure thats something you can really update (apart from windows update).  None the less i'd update any drivers and/or firmware  available from the dell website.
