My brother just rang me shouting about a problem he is having, he didnt go in to masses of detail so I apologise if its a bit vague, but he needs me to find an answer.

 

 

He just got a new PC (well, not brand new, a couple of years old) and he tried to install xp on it earlier and it was running fine until one point (i believe he said close to the end of the installation) where it was installing and my brother had to go out for a few hours thinking it would finish when he got back.

 

He arrived back to find the installation just seems to be repeating itself, the screen seemed to be running through an earlier stae of the installation.

 

 

Anyone know anything that might be the cause? I told him that it was more than likely a bad disc.

 

I know, incredibly vague, but that is al I've been told sadly
