Zone Alarm free version

I have been using Zone Alarm version 4.5.  I frequently get prompted to upgrade it but I read of some problems wih the upgraded versions in the past so I kept 4.5.  Im wondering if the current version is OK and if I need to upgrade to it or not?

    I run the current version on 5 computers with no issues.

    I've been using the latest version 6 on several computers without problem.

    I've got version 6 (6.1.737.000) running under XPpro SP2 without problems too.
