XPS 13 9305 speaker issue

Recently I can only hear audio if I plug headphones into the PC, there is no sound via the speakers.

I have checked and installed the latest Dell updates; I've run the Windows 11 troubleshooter; and I've checked the MaxxAudioPro settings, and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the audio driver, to no avail.

Any suggestions very gratefully received. Many thanks.

This forum post is not for your specific model but just try to see if any of the similar step exist and solve your issue (because the issues seem similar) XPS 13 plus sound not working - Dell Community

In Windows Settings | Sound | Output | Choose your output device | click the drop-down list. Do you see the onboard speakers listed? If so, select that option.

Thanks for your prompt reply. It's currently set to Realtek(R) Audio, which I believe are the onboard speakers.

You should attempt to test output out of all of the output devices and see if you hear anything (this can be done by right clicking on the relevant output device). Also attach a screenshot of the output devices on your system that can be seen through the sound settings. (You will find all of this under Sound settings where you scroll down and select "More sound settings" and under the "Playback" tab)

The sound is fine when output via the headset, but there's no sound when the headset is removed and the output defaults back to Realtek. Attached are a couple of screenshots, taken when the headset was connected.

    Many thanksOutput.pngPlayback.png

PS - under Properties for Realtek(R) Audio it states 'This device is working properly'

Sadly I cannot see your screenshots. I don't know if moderators need to approve them first

I am having the exact same issue. Not sure exactly when it started but had to be in the last week or so. I get audio through bluetooth headset but nothing through the speakers.
