Oh boy...another one already!...

After my experience with .16, I will wait and look at user experiences first!

I wonder if this resolves the failed pump issues that we got after the last update?

It does say something about the water pump and supporting Kingston M.2

Area-51 r5 with i9-7900.  Runs perfectly.   

I actually don't see the bios update on the R7 driver page.

Still scary, hate bios updates!

Edit: I see it now, it does say it fixed the pump issue.

I will wait to hear R7 user experiences...Especially those that are coming from the last update.

So I just tried updating, pc went on the fritz again and it took many restarts and bios changes to get it to run again. After all that, the bios didn't even install properly and it shows me still at .16. Same command center with the same "cpu fan" showing instead of water pump.

The experience was not fun, so tread carefully you guys.

I may not bother with this update.

Would be interested to hear from others that have tried the update.

Sorry PentatonicSteel :(  I Was hoping for the Kingston enhancements. 

Really curious about the Kingston related stuff.

I am using Kingston Hyper Fury x ram now and haven't had any issues. The oem stuff that comes with the system is even Kingston memory. So...what the heck could it be?

I do think this is a case of "if it aint broke, don't fix it". A lesson I thought I learned after the last update. It's scary when you consider all of the web links to "latest Dell bios update bricked my system" and how long they have been happening.

Wow glad to hear you got it back up and running but thanks for the heads up. That BIOS is sitting on my desktop and I have the same 'cpu fan' instead of cpu pump at the moment.

Just installed 1.0.17 on my R7.  PC rebooted several times but the update went through just fine.  CPU fan which used to show RPM of the pump now just shows CPU Pump: Running in Command Center.

Would be nice if this BIOS provided i9 compatibility though.
