17 R5, touchpad right click issue

Hi, I am having some issue with my 17R5, the right click seems not as responsive compare to the left click. Right now it requires a significant amount of force in order to recognize the click. (This issue happens accross the board)

Also, it seems some software bugged out, when I right click on the desktop, the menu just didn't show up. The mouse indicates it is under some sort of process. I have waited a few minutes, and it seems the system(maybe software?) just didn't response while I click on the desktop. (This happens only when right click the desktop)

Right now I am resetting my laptop and try to eliminate possible software issues.

Anyone have similar issue?

    Hi @Losondoky

Make sure the BIOS is up to date.

Is there a way you can try a mouse and tell me if the happens?

Hi, thanks for the tip. I believe the bios is up to date. I connect the mouse, and following happened: 1st: Right click is responsive (which I suspect the overall response issue could be physical, since using mouse does not have this problem) 2nd: Right click the desktop still running into problem, same as using touchpad right click. (could be software problem I assume?) As I dig more into the command center and other build in apps, I also found somehow it seem the command center doesn't recognize the FX device, and the FX category on the command center goes dark. If I remember correctly, it shows a pop up like: "no FX device detected" when I first boot up. Right now there is just too much going on and I have contacted the technical support last night, might send unit back and check if something was wrong with the touchpad and software.

Yes, that will be the best option. Send the system back for depot to check at it and let's see what happens after.

If you need further assistance you can always send me a private message.
