I'm new in NAS. We want to deploy Shares with our ns960. I have followed the step to provide an cifs server CIFSSRV_TEST3.CORP.DOMAIN.NET in the domain. When i use MMC snap-in "computer management" to manage the server, i have the "Local Users and Groups" which give the error "Unable to access the computer CIFSSRV_TEST3.CORP.DOMAIN.NET. The error was: The RPC serveris unavailable". My questions are:
1. How can resolve this?
2. With no "Local Users and Groups", can i give another domain administrator the possibility to manage the server? How?
Typically you can see that if you dont have the correct security context
Do this – as a domain administrator of the domain that the Celerra CIFS server is joined to map a share like C$ to a driveletter – then try the mmc again
