Bus0 Enclosure1 - 12 disks each disk size 66.64 GB
Bus0 Enclosure2 - 14 disks each disk size 66.64 GB
Bus0 Enclosure3 - 5 disks are 268.4 GB, another 5 disks are 133.68 GB disks.
Could you please let me know which raid group can provide more storage space with reliable as it holds hotspares from these disk enclosures as well. I heard first 4 disks are used by clariion to maintain private data (FLARE,etc..). Please share your architectural knowledge on this discussion forum what could be the Lun size, raid group size standards.
My personal advice, don't ever use the 0/0/0 - 0/0/4 disks. Ever. Ouside of that, understand the performance impacts of each type of configuration and then map your configuration to the performance required by your applications. Never start from the array side, always figure out what the applications need and then figure out how to carve the array to best meet those needs.
