Cannot Remove Disk Mount Point – Originally posted By jshivok, 23 Nov 2010

jshivok - I am having trouble removing a mount point in my backup script.

I am mounting a replay to a drive letter using:

Add-VolumeAccessPath -SerialNumber $replayview.SerialNumber -Server $servername -AccessPath $accesspath

where $accesspath = "S:"

if I try to do a Remove-VolumeAccessPath -SerialNumber $replayview.SerialNumber -Server $servername -AccessPath $accesspath

the S: drive remains. even if I remove the volume mapping to the server and do a rescan the S: Drive is still there.. The only way I can get it to go away is to reboot the system.

Any Help??

jbraun  - What if you use the "-force" parameter with Remove-VolumeAccessPath?

Ex:

Add-VolumeAccessPath -SerialNumber $replayview.SerialNumber -Server $servername -AccessPath $accesspath -force
