Dell customer support is the worst. Just the absolute worst. I have a large social media following and I’ll be telling all of them to never ever shop with Dell ever again after this experience.
For the holidays, I found what I thought was a great deal on a laptop and even became a Dell rewards member, being promised by a sales rep on the phone $250 in rewards if I purchased this computer and some headphones I wanted. I was also told that my first payment for the payment plan would not be due until Jan 20 and that my product would be delivered no more than a week from the day I placed the order.
Not only did I not get the $250 in rewards I was promised (they gave me ($150 instead without a reason as to the discrepancy), but I already received the first payment in the mail! and I haven’t even received my product yet and it’s going on over two weeks of shipping delays and my product hasn’t even been shipped yet even though the Dell website has been saying it’s been both built and confirmed since like over a week ago.
Not only all of what i just listed above, but after calling Dell multiple times about my order being delayed after being assured it would arrive on time “100% sir i can assure you it will arrive at the time it says on the website”, I finally demanded to speak with a supervisor on the last call I placed and after waiting for 30 straight minutes listening to terrible music once again, they just hung up on me. Utterly disgraceful.
I have heard many stories about hang-ups when a customer asks to escalate the call to a supervisor. My guess is that the rep disconnects the call rather than forwarding to a supervisor because it likely is a black mark on the reps record. Too many customers complain and want a supervisor might result in the rep being fired. So, they just conveniently disconnect after putting you on hold. Just my guess.
Thank you for your message. I apologize for the inconvenience surrounding your order & I will be glad to assist you with this.
For my reference, please click on the message tab next to your avatar– click “New Message” & search for my Dell username (Dell-Sreejith R) & send a private message with the Order number, registered name & email address.
