dell equallogic off-host backup

Hi everyone,

i'm trying to resolve some trouble with backup exec and dell equallogic SAN array.

So i have installed Backup Exec 2010 R2 with the option Advanced Disk Based option to use off-host backup. i also installed SQL agent to backup my SQL Database. all my server are Windows 2008 R2 in standard for backup exec and enterprise for SQL Server.

Then i have installed on each server the dell tool to communicate with the SAN. then when i create a backup work, i have some error and i don't see how to resolve.

The snapshot on the database in correctly created. On the dell tool, i can watch my snapshot on the source volume. But when the replication between the volume of the Dell's equallogic, i have an error.

The first error on my windows' log is

iSCSI login error 0x490 when connecting to vss-control volume for group 192.168.*.*.

And the other error are

iSCSI login error 0x0 to target 0-8a0906-db70fd506-e7d0014f3f64ce4f, the target could not be found.  Check that the host is configured for access to the array, the target has not been deleted, and the target has an access control list that exposes it to the host.

iSCSI login error 0x80042306 to target 0-8a0906-db70fd506-e7d0014f3f64ce4f, the target could not be found.  Check that the host is configured for access to the array, the target has not been deleted, and the target has an access control list that exposes it to the host.

So this is i get when i read my windows' log.

On backup exec, when the job fail i get some error.

VSS Snapshot error. Taking snapshot VSS (Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service) failed. Make sure that all services and tasks of the supplier are running. Check the Windows Event Viewer for details.

V-79-57344-34109 - ADBO: Unable to carry one or more snapshots of volumes to the media servers. The selection that failed was Name-of-my-server. A manual resynchronization of the volumes will certainly be necessary.

V-79-57344-34108 - An unexpected error occurred when cleaning up snapshot volumes. Make sure all the volumes are reproduced correctly resynchronized with the original volumes.

I have no vss error on my client, only on the server. I have no error on the dell equallogic.

If anyone had already this problem and fix it, can he tell me how to fix my problem.

Bye
