Hello,

I'm seeing symptoms very similar to http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/storage/f/3775/p/19486161/20275340.aspx but this is on an array that should be working fine.  It was removed from a service a while ago by a simple powerdown and not a clean shutdown.  But it should be able to cope with what amounts to a power failure, right?

The array is a PS5000e.

On bootup from the CLI I'm told the array is "The storage array is still initializing.  Limited commands will be available until the initialization is complete. Please try again later." but it has been in that state for over a week now. Running the setup command gives the following:

CLI> setup

                Group Manager Setup Utility


 It appears that setup was run previously, but it did not
 complete. Restarting setup.


 Initializing.  This may take several minutes to complete...................
   *** Database is not functional. The setup utility has failed.
       Please try again.

A reboot (clean!) doesn't help matters, and all disks are in place.  Any thoughts on how I might be able to get this array live again?
