Information Storage and Technology (ISM) question
I've just completed the first module of the ISM course, and did surprisingly well on the end of course exam (at least I was surprised!).
The one question I answered incorrected had to do with the benefits of de-centralized storage. I looked back in the course material, but just don't get it. Can anyone explain, in layman's terms, what the benefits are when compared to centralized storage?

I guess I wasn't thinking of it that way; I thought of decentralized as 'scattered' and therefore more difficult and time-consuming to find. Thanks for explaining it to me!
