I just want to know if it’s necessary to purchase ECC licenses (like a bundle ECC with SMC) for DMX and VMAX storages or I can order only SMC licenses (without ECC).

I'm told the topic of licensing is more about functionality on the Symm rather than SMC. Is there a specific detail you are looking for or general licensing information?

Ah in that case, I suggest you contact your EMC Sales rep. The training course covers how licenses are installed & used, not how the lcensing schemes are set up.
