How To Remove System Password

Hello,

I set up a laptop for a new user. I went in and set what I thought was the admin password in the BIOS. Apparently, it was the system password. Anyone know how to remove this password? I don't want the prompt popping up for the user every time they go to restart their machine.

Thanks,

Go into the BIOS Setup again and choose the option to change the system password. Enter the current system password, then at the prompt to enter and confirm a new password, just press Enter both times without typing anything.

@jphughan That doesn't work for the setup password on a G15 5510 v1.21.0 - after reboot, the password is active again.
