No sound from web based video

I have a brand new Inspirion 1525n running Ubuntu 8.04 with Firefox as my browser. Overall I am pleased with this product and O/S. It has taken my browsing, research and communication to a new level.

I am having trouble with the sound on this machine. I can play CD's and DVD's and have excellent quality sound. No skip, delays or anything of the sort there. My effectual sounds work properly as well.

The problem is with video from the internet such as You-Tube or FoxMedia. The video picture plays fine but I don't have any sound at all.

I've toggle the sound options between auto, pulse and alsa with no results. I have unistalled and reinstalled the  libflashsupport to no avail. I tried adobe flash player and it wouldn't run the audio either.

[ubuntu] Web video sound problems - Ubuntu Forums-this is link to a thread I submitted to try and resolve this issue. It may provide some clarification.
 I greatly appreciate your time.

You need to install libflashplayer support:

    http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&P2_Platform=Linux

If you are running 64bit Firefox you will need nsdispluginwrapper and run:

    su -c "mozilla-plugin-config -i -g -v"
