Driver updates for M17x_R2
Hi does anyone here have a link to the NEWEST drivers for this laptop?
I have dual ATI Radeon 4850 1gig cards running SLI and i was informed it was driver issue causing screen issues on Battlefield Bad Company 2.
Thanks in advance

This was purchased in the USA and resides in Iowa.... is there something else that could be causing all the issues with this screen during games?? there are lots of lines and random flashing in the screen along with other issues.
Is there something that causes white dots on the screen? My old LCD screen on my orginal order did not seem to do this however this new and supposedly better LED screen is nothing but issues

Can you test the game with Ati CrossfireX off?

I can try and test that...however... wouldn't that defeat the purpose of buying this gaming rig with TWO video cards?

I never said turn it off and leave it off. I asked if you would test the game with it off. Basic troubleshooting. There are many post about this game having video issues with both Ati and Nvidia video cards. Not even the new Ati Catalyst 10.3 have fixed these issues. This is solely a game issue with CrossfireX. When Ati fixes it, they will post a driver.

Sorry have been away for a while and just see that you posted back. I have been unable to test this. According to the youtube comments to the file you posted above this has been said:
i, I think you have the ATI problem and a fix was issued yesterday apparently.
Just search for the "ATI Catalyst™ 10.3 Profiles Update" on the ATI site, it says this in the description -
"Battlefield Bad Company 2 Fix - horizontal lines are no longer observed when running an ATI CrossFireX configuration / Battlefield Bad Company 2 Fix - flickering and black square corruption is no longer observed when running on single card ATI Radeon products"
Hope this helps if you still have the problem.
I tried to update my M17x_R2 to that new catalist per above and it LOCKED the machine up hardcore and required a hard reboot. It seemed to go okay for a bit when it was trying to install it however it went "black" and then nothing for 20 minutes and then that is when i hard rebotted.Thoughts?

Disabling the Crossfire X did not appear to fix the issues. I am seeing this on other games besides BF BC2 also. Suggestions?

On the US site, I only see the Radeon 4870 and the Geforce GTX260M? From what country did you make the purchase?
