M11x Sudden Death
Last night my m11x suddenly failed after working perfectly since I bought it in April. Was running on main power, suddenly the screen went blank, all lights went off and no fan noise. No response to pressing power switch.
Power supply appears to be working (greeen light is on). Battery is fully charged. As of this morning the light behind the the power switch does come on when plugged into mains power but no other response from the machine.
i have a support ticket in but have to wait til next business day and I was wondering if anyone out there has any suggestions?

Hmm I spoke to soon - and I canceled my support request too soon! Machine randomly and suddenly stops operating and won't reboot. Sometimes it then randomly restarts without any action on my part. Sometimes changing the power source i.e. pluging in or unplugging the AC adapter can "fix" it. Other times it seems to be just a matter of waiting.
After these episodes it generally re-boots to a windows repair screen. I've tried reverting to a restore point but problem persists.
Overall I'm pretty pleased with service so far - much as I wish my computer didnt have a problem. Local support seems good, in touch by email and ready to help out even though I thought - and told them that - the problem was fixed.. Glad I dont have to submit another ticket.

* Power the PC off
* Disconnect the AC adapter from the PC
* Remove the battery from the PC
- Turn the computer over
- Loosen the 8 screws that secure the base cover to the base
- Lift the base cover off of the base
- Remove the 2 screws that secure the Battery Pack to the base
- Disconnect the Battery Pack cable from the connector on the motherboard
- Using the pull-tab, lift and slide the battery pack out of the PC
* Turn the PC back over and hold the laptop power button in for 30 seconds
* Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter
* Power the laptop on. What happens?
