M17X R3 RANDOM BLACK SCREEN
I recently bought a new ssd and installed the windows7 system again. I finally found out how to solve the problem that my laptop cannnot wake up after sleep. It is the latest graphic driver!!!!! (2013 version AMD6970). I installed the A00 version that was downloaded from Dell website. However, new problem!!! My laptop went black screen every day. I thought it might be the problem caused by latest game so I uninstall the overwatch. Then I found black screen also happens when I use the internet explorer and chrome- just viewing forums and making comment (no video playing). It is unbelievable.
I have tried clean install all versions of graphic driver. No use.
I also run the dell diagnostics. It said my video card passed the test.
My warranty expired two years ago.

Hello Alex,
I have reinstalled the system (clean) for seven times, each time using different versions of drivers (from oldest to latest, from Dell official website or AMD website. But i still have not solved the problem. I now removed the new ssd I installed and used the old hard drive to have a try. Now I really do not know which part has the problem. If this problem cannot be solved, i think I may need a new laptop given there is no spare parts in dell company as the staff from Dell told me.
