Audio Trouble

My next issue is the Audio. I have my speakers on and they are the speakers and subwoofer that Dell sent with my computer. Anyways, they are turned on, but I have no sound coming out of them. Whenever I get an error in doing something or whatever, I just hear this beep coming out of the computer itself and not the speakers.

 

Any ideas?!

    Hi Dave!!! Thank you for helping me out the other day in restoring my Operating System. It restored the Operating System, but now I have no sound.

     

    Computer: Dell XPS 400

    Operating System: Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005

    Sound Card / Intergrated Audio: I have no idea where to find this at
