The CMOS jumper is located next to the battery.  See the diagram below......

 

thank you Majestic......i'm trying to find the bios password for this pc, it's a phoenix award A01, but all sites that gave possible backup passwords didn't work....is the only other way to reset the default password is to temp pop out the jumper, then put back in? and if so, would i have to know the bios settings? that would be beyond my limited knowledge at this point. thank you.

Click here for information from your model's Service Manual.  It will describe how to clear forgotten passwords by using a jumper (Password Jumper JP1) on the motherboard.  By using the jumper, only the passwords should be cleared from the CMOS.  In the unlikely event the CMOS is totally cleared, it is really not a problem since the system will re-detect all the installed hardware on the next reboot and configure the BIOS accordingly.  Also the BIOS options will be defaulted back to their factory settings which again isn't a problem since you are probably using most of those settings already. 

thank you again..i UNPLUGGED pc...removed the jumper for a few minutes...then replaced it...plugged back in and started pc...bios was intact, but didn't need a password to proceed to windows startup...very grateful to you Majestic, and hope these posts might help others with the same problem.
