CPU usage

Hey guys ive got a real problem and its driving me crazy. Ok so here it is. Lately my CPU has been going crazy. If I only have one program running it is using 45% of the power of it and making my comp really laggy. Ive tried all kinds of spyware removal and everything everybody else has recommended but nothing has helped. Ive got plenty of HD space and plenty of ram to use. Please help me with this.

First of all you do not list your profile of your computer and you say you have done what everybody has recomended, now if you list what you have done it would be most helpful and you would not be getting the same answers

YEa I would do that except ive got numorous programs and other things that I would have to reinstall. Ive seem to fixed it though. It was weatherbug that was causing my CPU to go crazy. I have no idea why though becuase before it worked great and then all of the sudden it was killing my comp. Thanks for all the help anyways.

Did you just update your windows?

If so remove security update 835732.  It worked for a colleague of mine who's CPU usage was going to 100% for the system.

It is AIM that does it. I have DeadAIM and anytime that I would exit a game it would leech (cant use the word s*ck)  the life out of my comp until I logged off and exited it. Once it started back up everything was fine.
