Help: Fatal System Error
Ok i got a new dell dimension 3000 and everything was fine until about 2 days ago. i was surfing and my screen went blue, up popped this message: STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The windows logon process system terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc00000005 (0x00000000 0x00000000). The system has been shut down.
Why is this happening? and How do fix it so that it doesn't keep happening?
Thanks

Thanks I'll give the instructions a try:womanhappy:OK, It happened to me..the blue screen of freeze. I just got this Dimension 3000 after spending six glorious years with a Compaq. At any rate, I have searched and searched for an answer. It pops up at the strangest times. I have not added anything to the computer or downloaded anything, other than what came with it.
It told me to shut down the first time, if it was a first time. I did that...the last time told me to check for driver updates, change video adapters, and disable BIOS memory options, etc....restart in safe mode...etc...NO!!!!!!!!!!!! this is a new computer and I don't want to have to do anything weird. I have done all that before, thus finally buying a new PC.
Any suggestions from anyone? Tried online support, none available. Tried email support and they say my customer number does not exist.
Anyone else having these issues? Thanks so much...oh yeah...HAPPY NEW YEAR::smileyvery-happy:
You are much more likely to get an answer to your specific problem if you post a new message to start a new thread, rather than responding to an existing thead. It is unclear for your problem, whether or not the error message is the same as that reported by the original poster. If it is, did you try the suggestion I made to the original poster?
