No audio

I have a XPS 400, with the onboard Audigy Advanced MB. I have Ver 10 of Windows Media Player with all the codecs etc. When I go to a web page sometime the audio plays and sometimes it don't. I have CNN as my homepage and when I play the videos of the news subjects, I get perfect video but no audio....I have checked all the settings I can find etc but to no avail. I have even done a repair reinstall of Windows XP. Any ideas anyone.

I have had this same problem, only it is not limited to IE, but all audio. I get either no sound or it is VERY distorted. I have looked at alot of posts here at the Dell forums as well as other places around the net, and it seem that this is the number 1 problem for XPS 400 owners.

99% of all the suggestions I found was to buy a new PCI soundcard for your pc. The integrated SB Audigy MB his plagued with problems, and good luck finding NEW drivers for it.

Sorry for the bad news, but I hope that info helps.
