reinstall video problems
i rcently had to format and reinstall my os, xp home. after reinstallation i installed the drivers from the resource cd and checked for updates. my screen is now dull in colour, all text is small and all windows and text are grainy. i have checked screen resolution as per the manufacturers recommendations and all settings seem fine. i have dimension 5000, a radeon x300 and a dell 1905fp (analog) monitor.
any help and advice would be appreciated.

many thanks for your response, typographical errors forgiven. unfortunately i have tried all that you suggested without any success. any further ideas?many thanks and kind regards.

uninstall the video driver from add/remove programs and also any other ati software. then reinstall the dell desktop system software first, then the chipset driver and then the ati x300 video driver.reboot and check.
then adjust the color depth and aresolution and check.
if still no go. try installing the monitor drivers too.
