stack overload
my computer has gotten slower and slower and i received an error message when i went to restart that i had (the dreaded) stack overload. said i had too many (too much?) VxD programs. and that i needed to get rid of these?
the computer is brand new, and i'm not aware of any quirky software having been installed.
how do i find and eradicate the problem programs.
also, i waited for 45 minutes on the voice line help, the person who answered said he was the wrong one (and didn't know how the call got routed to his specialized function), he promised to put me right through to the right person....50 minutes ago.
i had planned to purchase two more dell computers; now i'm reconsidering.
this is abysmal! my next communications will be with the analysts who cover Dell, it appears that i've discovered the reason your stock is down.
and, btw, my computer is fully loaded.
also, the dell/microsoft help files were completely useless. didn't even recognize the error message that i was handed.
disgraceful.
(p.s. if anyone at dell cares enough to call me, i can be reached at 610-574-8450; but i won't hold my breath, it appears that only your salespeople return calls promptly).

The error message you received told you how many stack pages (MinSPs) were currently installed. To correct the problem, open your system.ini file and add the following line to the [386Enh] section:
